Fiscal Coordinator
DESCRIPTION: Fiscal Coordinator, Full Time RESPONSIBILITIES The Fiscal Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the Domestic Violence Program general ledger, financial reporting, grant modification and compliance, and accounting records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and the YWCA’s policies and procedures. Coordinate the agency annual budget and maintain inventory and depreciation schedule. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Demonstrated skills in fund accounting. Strong personal computer skills including complete working knowledge of spreadsheets and/or other accounting software, and routine word processing. Ability to calculate accurate and efficiently, including ten-key by touch. Strong analytical, organizational and planning skills with attention to detail. Strong team oriented style and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Experience in non-profit accounting preferred. Grants Manager YWCA-WINGS, a domestic violence program of the YWCA of San Gabriel Valley, has an immediate opening for a Grants Manger. YWCA-WINGS has been a leader in the field of domestic violence services for over 25 years, providing emergency shelter and comprehensive supportive services to over 2,000 women and children annually. RESPONSIBILITIES Develops and prepares government and foundation grant proposals and submits to funding sources. Develops budgets for grant proposals in collaboration with Program Director and Fiscal Manager. Responsible for coordinating Program audits for all grants and supervising Program audits at Shelter and at Outreach. Manage grant compliance and maintenance of client tracking system. Maintains communication with funders to ensure the Program is in compliance with service requirements outlined in contracts. Supervise the preparation of data reports, monthly service reports, and annual reports. Also responsible for researching new funding sources. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Very effective oral and written communication skills, including public speaking. Proven skills in the grant writing process and developing systems and procedures to ensure compliance with government and other contracts. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and computer skills are a must. Fiscal experience a plus. Minimum of 2 years experience. SALARY: Hiring range $36,000 - $38,000 Commensurate with experience and qualifications, plus benefits. HOURS: Monday - Friday, Full Time
Site Manager Regular and Substitute Positions Available Non Bilingual and Bilingual English/Spanish, English/Mandarin DESCRIPTION: YWCA Intervale Senior Services is a multi-faceted senior citizen program serving the San Gabriel Valley since 1986. The program includes a group dining and home delivered meals program, Urgency Case Management program, telephone reassurance for homebound seniors, and homemaking/housekeeping services. RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for developing and maintaining a friendly and active Senior Center environment for YWCA Senior Services program clients. Assist with planning and managing Senior Center meal and activity programs. Daily monitoring of all meal site activities and services with regard to menu development, meal acceptance and participation. Verifies quantities and checks condition of food on delivery; records food temperatures; monitors food handling and portion control; maintains the cleanliness of the kitchen according to all local and program health regulations and program requirements. Completes and maintains all daily meal count records, weekly food service reports, temperature logs, site equipment and supply inventory, meal orders, and the site reservation system. Orders meals, supplies and equipment; counts, records and makes bank deposits of cash donations daily. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Ability to relate and interact with older persons in a positive and supportive manner. A working knowledge of all food service safety and sanitation requirements, and program guidelines. Required skills include organization, ability to supervise and train volunteers, a working knowledge of general office procedures including word processing, maintaining records, simple bookkeeping and other record keeping. Some experience or training in food service programs, basic knowledge of cash counting and bank deposit procedures. Completion of all current Los Angeles County Area Agency on Aging mandatory certificate and training requirements for Nutrition Project personnel. Valid California drivers license, a good driving record acceptable to the Agency’s insurance carrier, and reliable transportation. Familiarity with laptop computers and basic computer skills not required but a plus. SALARY: $8.22 per hour
Home Delivered Meals Route Deliverer Regular and Substitute Positions Available DESCRIPTION: YWCA Intervale Senior Services is a multi-faceted senior citizen program serving the San Gabriel Valley since 1986. The program includes a group dining and home delivered meals program, Urgency Case Management program, telephone reassurance for homebound seniors, and homemaking/housekeeping services. RESPONSIBILITIES Delivery of meals to homebound senior citizens in a safe manner. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Ability to relate and interact with older persons in a positive and supportive manner. Physical ability to lift heavy and awkward loads. Knowledge of safe driving practices and vehicle maintenance procedures, map reading skills and a good sense of direction. Ability to follow written and oral instructions and work with minimal supervision. Completion of all current Los Angeles County Area Agency on Aging mandatory certificate and training requirements for Nutrition Project personnel. Valid California drivers license and a driving record acceptable to the Agency’s insurance carrier. SALARY: $8.22 per hour
Caseworker/Community Health Worker Caseworker/Community Health Worker, Full Time & Part Time Positions Available RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for implementing the case management program services for elderly clients based on an assessment of their needs. Processes intakes; makes referrals for other services; provides information; documents case record; handles and resolves emergency situation; and follows up as necessary. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Experience/BA social work, nursing, community health or related area. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to positively participate as part of a work team. Knowledge of and sensitivity to issues affecting older persons, their families, and the community. Ability to relate and interact with older persons in a positive and supportive manner. Bilingual English/Mandarin, English/Vietnamese, English/Korean or English/Tagalog.
