YWCA Board of Directors
Email to board@ywcasgv.org Lil Sass is President of the YWCA Board of Directors. She is also the owner of Sass Services. Her community involvement includes being the founder of California State University, Fullerton's Nonprofit Alumni Association, volunteering at the YWCA Domestic Violence Outreach Facility, and serving on the board for the YWCA. Sue Hammett is the Secretary of the YWCA Board of Directors. She is a former president of Azusa-Glendora Soroptimist and former board member of the Glendora Chamber of Commerce. Angela Chang is Treasurer of the YWCA Board of Directors. She is also a Civil Engineer for the County Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County. She is a graduate of the University of Southern California and University of California, Berkeley. She is also the chair of the YWCA Finance/Personnel Committee, and serves on the Website Committee, and Public Relations and Marketing Committee. Linda Somilleda is Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing at the YWCA and is the Director of Marketing and Communications for Foothill Transit. She has served on the marketing committee for both Baldwin Park and the YWCA of San Gabriel Valley. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science and Business in Marketing. Patricia Foster is Vice President of Program Development and a Supervisor with the United States Probation Office. She serves as President of the Delta Sigma Theta Public Service Sorority which addresses educational and economic development, as well as phsyical and mental health in our communities. Nain La Chen is the Vice President of Asia Collections in the City of Industry.
She is a graduate of the National Taiwan University. Her community involvement includes serving as a volunteer for the
Los Angeles Children's Hospital and for YWCA's Wings program. Angela Flournoy is a sophomore at USC and a former ASB President at Nogales High School. She participated in YWCA programs as a child, and she would like other people to be able to benefit from YWCA programs as well. As the youngest board member she hopes to offer "a unique perspective and voice" to board decisions. LaVerne Ford is an Associate Broker of REMAX Masters Realty. She is a graduate of Allegheny College, Pittsburgh and Realty Institute. She is involved with YWCA-WINGS and the Citrus Valley Board of Realtors. Susan Hensley is the Case Manager for the CalWorks program at Citrus College. She has been a volunteer Children’s Advocate and a Counselor at our WINGS domestic violence program. She also volunteers as an Intern, and assists with fund raising events for Angeles Community Counseling Center. Karen Levin-Bohlka is Clinic Operations Manager for Our Savior Center/Cleaver Family Wellness Clinic. She is an ongoing student at the University of La Verne. Her community involvement includes St. Luke Lutheran Church, Boy Scouts of America, Sierra Club, and MADD. Colleen Reilly is the Child Development Director at Rio Hondo College. She is a member of the Citrus College Child Development Training Consortium Advisory Board, and is a member of both the National and California Associations for the Education of Young Children. Anita Ron is the owner of Briteworks Inc.. She is Past President and a current board member of the West Covina Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Latin Business Association, a member of Lions International, and a Board member of the PTA of Vine School in West Covina. Marty Trisler is a Community Volunteer. She is co- chair of the YWCA’s WINGS Tennis Tournament, a major fundraiser of the YWCA, Past President of the Community Club of Evergreen and Chaparrel Middle Schools in Diamond Bar, and a Literacy Teacher.
